Season of Beauty and Love: Love Songs in the Age of Ronsard
A concert of elegant French Renaissance songs and dances featuring Parthenia, with soprano Sherezade Panthaki, and lutenist Christopher Morrongiello, lute.
The program will include song settings of poetry by Pierre de Ronsard, set by composers such as Claude le Jeune, Guillaume Costeley, and Pierre Bonnet.
The concert will be performed on a set of of rarely-heard early Renaissance viol replicas, on loan to Parthenia for this concert.
