Welcome to Parthenia’s Summer Virtual Series! We invite you to watch three past season concerts from the comfort of your home.
Following a long tradition of music for Christmas, the viols of Parthenia, joined by mezzo-soprano Elisa Sutherland, present an array of songs, dances and carols from Elizabethan England. Along with music by Thomas Morley, Anthony Holborne, Thomas Ravenscroft, Dr. John Bull and Tobias Hume, this concert features a wide variety of music by the master composer of England’s Golden Age, William Byrd.
